In 1991 I lived in Bellingham, Washington from the end of May until the end of September. It’s a long story, but I’d moved there alone, without knowing a soul, and I’m not exaggerating when I say baseball was my best friend that summer. Though I only saw one game in the KingDome, Mariners radio broadcasts were a nightly ritual. I tagged along as Ken Griffey, Jr. knocked the ennui out of Mariners fans and took them for a wild ride. This pocket schedule is probably the only memento I have from my time in Washington. It’s enough.

I don’t even know how I found this but it is lol-arious. And I think ariready was right - the Mariners have the best commercials in baseball. They’re at least tied with the Rangers, anyway.
